Today I deleted all the Bookmark Bar contents of my Google Chrome browser. The important sites I have memorized, or are easy to type. The others were an “I’ll check it later cause it’s cool” link….that I eventually never checked anyway. I realized those random saved websites were part of my internet clutter.

Could you eliminate all of your saved bookmarks? Which ones would you miss? Would a service like Pinboard be useful for tucking away sites to be viewed later?

Still on the path of eliminating clutter from my mindspace…

A long time ago, I made a leap of faith and ended my landline phone account leaving me just with my mobile phone. It’s been a good 8 or 9 years since, and I still have the same mobile number, and I can’t recall what life was like when I’d be getting dinnertime phone calls from telemarketers, disrupting my meal.

It’s been about four or five months since I made another leap of faith and sold my black macbook laptop to buy an iPad. Sitting outside on my balcony writing this during a thunderstorm rumbling all around me trumps any experience of sitting at a desk with a monitor, minitower, keyboard, mouse, ethernet cable, and computer speakers…and not being able to write this while experiencing a thunderstorm, or life, happening around me.
